The Southern California town of Fontana was in need of a refresh. Using a Federal Community Development Block Grant and teaming up with urban planners, architects and landscape architects, we were able to give the old city a much-needed makeover.
By assessing the opportunities and constraints of each property and developing tailored concepts, we were able to find a look that improved the individual buildings while maintaining a cohesive feel. Though improvements were limited to the façades, architectural detailing, window/door improvements, and structural and lighting upgrades served to collectively elevate the look and feel of the entire city block.
