Oakmont Village is a successful retirement community located along Highway 12 in the scenic Valley of the Moon in Santa Rosa. The OVA identified the Central Recreation Center as having potential to become the public face to the community.
Originally built in the mid 1950s, it was a prime candidate for renovation and expansion to better accommodate current and planned uses.
This included the renovation of both the fitness building (4,000 S.F.) and the activities building (3,200 S.F.) which comprise the Central Recreation Center, plus the addition of a 5,000 S.F. connector with a gracious, transparent space to serve as a gathering space for residents. Involved throughout the project, our responsibilities covered Strategic Planning, Design and Planning, Construction, and Post Occupancy.
The result is a revamped and renewed Recreation facility that’s not just the face, but the ideal gathering space for residents of the Oakmont Village.
