
Windsor Mill development is a residential for-rent development with 360 condominium units located within walking distance of the downtown Windsor Green and future SMART station. The site is within the Windsor Station Area/Downtown Spcific Plan Area and is made up of 8 parcels situated between the SMART railway and Windsor Creek. Windsor Mill is designed to fit in with the surrounding existing neightborhoods and daylights the Windsor Creek by incorporating 2.5 acres of linear open space along a Creekside trail that is accessible to the public. Site improvements include the extension of Bell Road, a much-needed vehicular crossing of Windsor Creek at the South of the Development, and a pedestrian bridge connecting to Windsor Creek Elementary School. The development also contributes to the construction of a Multi Use Path along the SMART rail. The Windsor Mill development provides much-needed housing close to transit and connects areas of Windsor that were previously inaccessible.
Mill Creek is a 360 unit residential condominum project consisting of 126 ground floor flats, 230 walk-up townhomes,and 4 carriagne units above garages. A total of 23 buildings would be constructed across the site with 16 three-story condominium buildings and six gargage buildings. Amenities are included in a 2-story leasing and recreational center with a community pool. Parking is accomodated on site in a mix of garage structures, carports and on-street parking. Ample open space is provided along the creek and by connecting the site to the neighborhing SMART train station and downtown with walking paths.
The Mill Creek buildings are designed in Spanish, Monterey, and Craftman styles with features including concrete tile roofs, stucco exteriors and wrought iron railings, bay windows, balconies and ground-floor porches that look onto the creek and roads. Special attention was paid to Windsor's design guidelines that was prescriptinve about the layout of unit frontages. Within the development courtyards are designed as enhanced entry ways.
